Last Resort (and Spa) Cat Rescue Every year, thousands of homeless and unwanted cats and kittens are euthanized, cats who, with love and care, would make wonderful, loving pets. The Last Resort Cat Rescue provides homes, rehabilitation and socialization for just a few of these needy little ones. Please do not contact us if you have a cat you are trying to find a home for, or a colony of feral cats. We do not take owner surrenders, nor are we wable to handle the "usual" cat overpopulation issues. With rare exceptions, we specialize in abused and special-need purebreds, taking only one or two at a time so as to provide the intense one-on-one these babies need. Last Resort relies solely on income generated by Ymircats Accessories here on our website. ![]() ![]() Sody is a purebred blue point Himalayan who was left nearly dead outside the DuPage Animal Hospital. Her original owner simply dropped a carrier filled with urine, feces, and a sick little cat and left. Fortunately the caring staff found her and called me. Once fed, groomed and bathed, she became an absolutely beautiful little cat who captivates any person who sees her, so much so that we could not let her go to an adoptive home. She is our girl now, and couldn't be more loved. Registered with The International Cat Association as a household pet, Purrmeister's Rhapsody in Bleu is now a Quadruple Grand Master (Master is the pet equivalent of "Champion" status) who rules the roost and gets away with far more kitty treats than she really needs. ![]() Olivia: Livvy was another purebred Himalayan, a tiny Seal Point girl who was abandoned to fend for herself when her former owner moved. A neighbor heard her cries and Olivia found her way to us. Once we'd fed her up, loved her to death and generally spoiled her, a forever home was found for her where she is the single-cat special girl. ![]() ![]() Gus: A blue-point Himalayan was surrendered to the Humane society when his former owner became ill and could no longer keep him. Poor Gus had been an only cat and was unable to adjust to life in the Humane society. He stopped eating, and cowered in a corner. The society called us when Gussie's weight had dropped to less than five pounds and he faced euthanasia. Several months of good eating and good loving increased his weight to nearly eight pounds, his personality to a happy boy, and he now has a wonderful new home with people who adore him. ![]() ![]() Malynka is a purebred Norwegian Forest Cat who was found in a sheltr in Toledo. Her new mom and dad lost their 16-year-old Wegie girl a few months ago, and wanted another girl to complete their family. Malynka now lives in Napierville, IL with her new owners and a Norwegian Forest brother named Thor. | Return Home | Last Resort | Contact Us | Exhibitor Guide | Show Info Purrfectly Moovelous | Online Catalog | Twisted Whiskers | Kittens and cats available and past litters | Entry Form Purrfectly Moovelous | Summary Sheet Purrfectly Moovelous | |
