Show hours are 1 p.m. to close of judging on Saturday and 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday. No one will be allowed to leave early without permission from show management. **Please comply with this as spectators are paying to see your cats, not an empty show hall**. SINGLE-CAT ENTRIES WILL BE ASSIGNED A SINGLE CAGE UNLESS AN EXTRA "HALF CAGE" IS REQUESTED AND PAID FOR. Cage bottoms, back, top and sides must be covered. ONLY one cat or two kittens permitted per single cage. Benching: Benching requests MUST be clearly indicated on the Summary Sheet and will be granted IF ABLE. (Please remember that it is not always possible to comply with every request, but we WILL try!) Please do not change benching assignments without permission of show management. We also ask that you make an effort and leave your benching area neat when you leave at the end of the show. Please pick up soda cans, wrappers, litter, etc. Trash bags will be provided to exhibitors. This is a wonderful showhall, and has not been used for a cat show before, and we want to keep them happy with us. We thank you for your cooperation. Please note: Children are welcomed in TICA and at our show, however, they MUST be kept in control and with their parents AT ALL TIMES. Children who are running loose and causing disturbances to either either exhibitors, spectators or cats may be asked to leave the showhall along with their parents. JA exhibitors must SHOW THEIR OWN CATS in all rings. For Sale/Overnights: Cats and kittens for sale will be permitted. Cage sizes are restricted to 1 cat or 2 kittens per single cage. No animals may be kept or displayed in kennels or carriers under cages. Cats may not be kept in show hall overnight. No sales cage without an entry in the show will be permitted. Health: This is a non-vetted show. All entries MUST be up to date on all immunizations, minimally feline rhinotracheitis, calici virus and feline enteritis, and should test negative for feline leukemia and feline AIDS. (Not required, but always a good idea to bring immunization records along to the show) Any cat or kitten showing evidence of fungus, ear mites, fleas, or a contagious disease within 21 days of the show will be removed from the show hall IMMEDIATELY along with any other cats from the same household, and all wins will be forfeited. Cats which are pregnant or lactating will be disqualified. HHPs must be altered by the time they are eight months of age. All claws, front and rear MUST be clipped prior to judging. Registration: Pedigreed cats (with the exception of Korats and PNBs and ANBs) and household pets may be shown one time in TICA without a registration number. Subsequent shows without a registration number will not be scored. Show Rules: This show is licensed and sanctioned by The International Cat Association and is subject to their show rules and breed standards. All exhibitors agree by entering to abide by the decisions of the show management and judges. A copy of the show rules is available from the Executive Office, PO Box 2684, Harlingen, Texas 78551, or online at http;//www.tica.org. No kitten under 3 months of age will be permitted in the showhall - proof of age and TICA litter egistration must be available. Shelters bringing kittens for adoption must also adhere to this rule but may use a veterinarian's estimate of age. Declawed cats may be shown. No vending permitted from your benching area. TICA show rules will be strictly enforced. Clerks/Stewards: Are always needed. Please contact the entry clerk. Do not deduct clerking fees from your entry fees; they will be paid according to the time spent clerking at the show. Preference will be given to licensed TICA clerks. If you have a child willing to steward, please contact the entry clerk. Stewards will also be paid. Please do not deduct from entry fees. Sponsors: If you would like to sponsor a ring, the cost is $50 per day. Sponsors receive free advertising in the catalog as well a a highly-visible sign at the sponsored ring. This is an excellent way to advertise your cattery or business. Please contact the entry clerk or show manager for more information. New Exhibitors: Wisconsin-Illinois Cat Fanciers recognizes the importance of new exhibitors and their value to TICA. We believe that good sportsmanship, support and education are the keystones to the cat fancy, and to this end, we are one of the first TICA clubs to initiate a Mentoring Program for newcomers. If you are a first-time exhibitor and would like a mentor assigned to help you through your first show, please indicate this on the Summary Sheet. Mentors, experienced club members who have "been through it all", will provide help with grooming and presentation, introductions to other exhibitors and breeders, and explain how to score your cat's points. You may also wish to read the "New Exhibitor's Guide" portion of this website. If this is your first show and you are unsure of how to cover your cage, please let the entry clerk know and your assigned mentor will be happy to help you. We also have sets of cage curtains for rent during this first show at a nominal fee. Shelters: Per our policy, Wisconsin-Illinois Cat Fanciers offers space to two cat shelters at our show. We ask that you visit them and show your support by bringing a can or bag of cat food or bag of litter for donation. Your help for these needy little ones is greatly appreciated! Thank you! Wisconsin-Illinois Cat Fanciers, its individual members, the show hotels and show hall itself, and TICA will not be held liable for any loss or accident to spectators, exhibitors, cats, or personal property. | Return Home | Last Resort | Contact Us | Exhibitor Guide | Summary Sheet Deja Moo | Entry Form Deja Moo | Show Info Deja Moo | Online Catalog | Twisted Whiskers | Kittens | Deja Moo Moo 2008 - Mooovin' On | |
